How To Make Meatloaf

It is quick and easy to learn how to make meatloaf. This is a versatile meal that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

how to make meatloaf 500g minced beef
5 slices ham
2 hardboiled eggs
1 egg, beaten
250ml oat bran
Worcestershire sauce
Small can tomato puree
Salt
Pepper
Beef stock powder
Grated cheese

Alternatively you can leave out the hard boiled eggs if you want a solid loaf.

Mix the mince, oat bran, seasonings and puree together. On a piece of wax paper lay it out in a square. Cover the top with the ham and place the hard boiled eggs in the centre. Fold over the paper to make a roll with the mince sealing the edges. Place into a greased loaf tin. Sprinkle with cheese and bake at 180 deg Celsius for 1 hour.

When the meatloaf is cooked allow it to cool for a little.

Then remove it from the tin and slice it like bread. Serve with mash or rice and a salad or steamed vegetables.
