Milk bottle as seedling container

I’ve received photos from my friend Douglas on my Face Book how to cut out a spade from an empty 2-litre milk bottle. The photos included the illustrated method to make it easier for using it as a throw-away spade afterwards, or an emergency spade if you have not got one. (You can cut out a straight edge spade too).

Then I’ve adjusted the left-over milk bottle somewhat and came up with my own invention of using it as a watering tank for small day-old chickens which can then later be used as a chicken mash feeder or another bottle adjusted as a chicken mash feeder at the same time. The straight edge spade can be left in the mash container to remove the mash and place it into the mash feeder.

As I said before, I hate to waste anything and I look at things differently to see where I can make use of it in another way than usual. Even for the seedling container, I can see another use for it with slight adjustment as a washing peg holder too!

The chicken mash feeder and water tank for chickens came into my mind, thinking of using available resources on hand to feed and water my 6 eggs waiting to be hatched into chickens soon, that is to say, if the eggs are fertile!

So look around you with new eyes and an open mind to see what you can invent in your daily life and surroundings.
