After the braai only ash remained

My Mini braai is a flat fold-away type

Mini stove is as big as a cup & saucer

I'm so excited that I was successful in making my very own braai on my mini survival stove (I’ve got three extras to sell if anyone’s interested). The six little lamb rib chops with lemon juice thrown over them, Himalayian salt and black pepper were done to perfection (I like mine more cremated. Inside there was still a pinkish tinge to the chop. (My husband, son or grandson usually do a braai for us).

The old fire lighters didn’t work –. I’ve used the dried Litchi leaves –. What a fire lighter that proved to be. Builder’s Express had a cheap price for the Namibia charcoal so I bought it specially to try out my mini stove –. It's longlasting too –. As I only used about six pieces of it for the whole braai.

I keep one mini stove in my car’s boot –. Just in case of emergency –. May meet up with a snow storm, flood etc. and a small supply of charcoal and litchi leaves with a box of matches to start a fire.

I must buy a packet of two emergency blankets (silver foil type) sold by Builder’s Express as well for keeping it in the car’s boot also for any emergencies too.

Have you fit your car’s boot out with some emergency supplies to survive a snow storm, flood, etc.?
