How To Make Pizza

Here is my recipe on how to make pizza. We enjoy pizza once a week as it is a frugal filling meal for those who want to enjoy “restaurant food” at home.

We prefer a whole wheat base but you can use plain white bread flour instead.

2 cups of whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon of yeast
1 teaspoon of sugar
A splash of olive oil
¾ cup of warm water.

Allow to rise for 20mins then spread on a baking tray.

Top with any topping (see list below) and mozzarella cheese, bake until cooked...

We like to use vegetable toppings but you can use anything!



Other pizza toppings are:

Garlic
Olives
Anchovies
Chicken strips
Bacon
Mushrooms
Peppers
Chillies
Pineapple
Asparagus

Here is how I do my vegetable topping:

Pick some squash or any good roasting vegetables from your home vegetable garden

Chop them


Bake them at a high temperature after pouring over a mix of 2T honey, 1t garlic, 1t vegetable stock and 1T olive oil.


Put on the roast veggies top of your homemade pizza base, cover with Mozarella cheese and bake until cooked.
